Who I am
This site (Daily Index) is operated by Patricio Gutierrez, a one-person business based in the Netherlands. I am the data controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, email privacy@dailyindex.co.
What I collect
Information you give me. When you use the contact form I receive your name, email address, preferred language, and the message you write. I use this to reply to you and to discuss a possible diagnostic call.
Information collected with your consent. If you accept cookies, I record an anonymous visitor identifier and behavioral data: how you arrived (UTM parameters, referring site, and whether you came from an AI assistant), your device, browser and operating system, your approximate location (country and city), the pages you view, scroll depth, time on page, and an assigned audience segment. None of this identifies you by name unless you also contact me.
Technical data. My server briefly sees your IP address to rate-limit abuse. It is held only in memory for that check and is not stored.
Why I collect it (legal bases)
- Contact data — to respond to you and take steps at your request prior to any engagement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Analytics & personalization — your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Security / rate-limiting — my legitimate interest in protecting the site from abuse (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Who I share it with
I do not sell your data. I use a small number of service providers (processors) who handle data on my behalf under contract:
- Supabase — database hosting for contact and analytics data.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, and edge processing.
- Resend — sending email replies.
Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA; where they do, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long I keep it
I keep contact data for as long as needed to follow up on your inquiry and a reasonable period afterward, then delete it. Analytics data is retained in aggregate. I delete personal data sooner on request.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
If you are in Mexico, you have the equivalent ARCO rights (access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition) under the LFPDPPP.
How to get your data removed
Email privacy@dailyindex.co from the address you contacted me with, and I will delete your data within 30 days. That includes your contact record and any anonymous visitor and analytics records linked to it. I will confirm once it is done.
Children
This site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top. Material changes that affect how your data is used will be reflected here before they take effect.
